Mesoamerican Ballgame
The Mesoamerican ballgame is a historical ballgame tradition shared by many Central American cultures. Ballcourts, heavy rubber balls, protective padding and variants using body parts such as hip, thigh or forearm are documented. Ancient rules differed regionally and cannot be fully reconstructed; modern practical contexts are mainly ulama, cultural programmes or safe teaching adaptations.
