Gaga Ball

Gaga ball is a fast dodge-and-strike game in a marked circle or gaga pit. Everyone starts on the boundary, the ball is played with an open hand after the bounce, and hits below the knee usually eliminate a player. The entry remains local-rule-dependent because school, camp and venue variants rotate differently.

Getting started

Kurzbeschreibung An accessible dodge game where the ball is played low by hand and players avoid hits below the knee.

Geeignet für Suitable for groups wanting quick rounds, reaction and little equipment.

Cost Very low if a ball and marked circle/pit are available. Usually a school, camp, youth-centre or recreation offer without high recurring costs. More recreation/school group than classic club. A real gaga pit is useful, but a safe marked boundary is enough for first rounds.

First progress A first round works immediately; better angles and dodging develop after a few games.
